New to the boards, new to the scene!

Hi gearslutz, (wasn't sure where to post this)

i just randomly found this website through a google search on different ways people have bypassed pre's on the 002.. Anywho-- i am loving all the information on this board already and ive never really belonged to a BBS community before, but i think this might feel like home soon enough!

a little about me: ive been in the music community for a little over a decade mostly as a fan and band member... but the past 3 years i have been taking theory, studio recording, and live sound classes at my local community college. i got a job with a production company setting up audio for corporate gigs and some arena ones as well. been doing live sound stuff for about a year, but i am mostly focused on the studio side.
Christmas time Santa gave me a nice bonus check and i bought myself a little 002 rack (LE 7.4) and a couple mic's (sm58, sterling 55) -- ive only mildly played around with my stuff as the only material i have recorded so far is myself on guitar. ive been trying to figure out how to make good sounding rock beats that i could play along with...

So i just wanted to say hi to everyone and hope to meet some nice people that wont mind me dropping hundreds of questions on them! just kidding. but im sure ill have some to throw out there// see you guys!
