API 500V rack problem (but no problem with 6b with same module)

Why would a 500 series module work in an API 6b rack, and the same module also works in a Purple Audio Sweet Ten rack and an OSA rack, but will not work in an API 500V rack? All of these are the same standard, all API compatible. What could cause a unit to produce noise and distortion in just the larger API rack when it works fine in all the others (including the smaller API rack)? Thanks.

I hope it's a fluke because I was going to pick one up in a few days. Which unit doesn't work?

We suspect there is a problem with this one particular specific 500V's power supply. I don't want to say what module it is, but this module works in an API 6b rack, an OSA rack, and a Purple Sweet Ten Rack. So it's just a problem that I suspect can easily be fixed with this rack.

It ended up being the supply in the rack, not the module. It was replaced with one of the Chandler 500 supplies and that fixed it immediately. But we tested it in a new and different 500V and it worked fine, so it was just a faulty L200PS, not the system in general.
