I Wanna start making my own Stompbox pedals where to start?

Now before everyone Says "Google it, Duh!" I have and I've found a few good sites which I think will help, but If anyone else has some sites that are really good for beginners of Making pedals it would be appreciated if you told me the site!

Thanks

tonepad -- a resource for d.i.y. music projects
General Guitar Gadgets - Home

I have used the layouts on tonepad.com for 3 pedals, and they work great. The boards are a little cramped, but if you're good with a soldering iron you won't have any problems. All look at Small Bear Electronics for parts, good prices, easy to find exactly what you need, and all the parts you need for most pedals. I highly recommend the tonepad TS808 Tube Screamer and the Ross Compressor.

Build your own clone dot com is a good place to start.
Geofex if you're not interested in the BYOC kits.

Lot of places to continue as posted here. Only one place to start - Electronic Projects for Musicians by Craig Anderton. Take your through the elecronic basics, includes contructions tips, teaches you how to build a power supply and then gives you step by step on some cool boxes.

While delays, choruses, etc are tricky, if you want to design your own eqs, distortion boxes, premaps, etc. learn to work with op-amps. These are veratile little chips where the complexity of amplifier design has been handled for you and the application are simple. Radio Shack use to put out a line of little books. One was called Engineer's Mini-notebook: Op-amps. If you can find one of those, it is invaluable. The writer was Forrest Mims and he is just the best at simplifying these concepts.
