Compex pots

Would anybody know of a source for replacement pots for ADR Compex compressors? The big ones are easy, but finding something to replace those small ones is tricky.

Thanks in advnace
Tim.

Hey Tim,
the stepped pots are still being made by Elna in switzerland. I just had all of mine replaced. don't know about the sweep pots but i can't imagine they'd be too tough. Keeping these things running- that's the tough parts!
good luck with it,
David

I had some Elna pots long time ago. They were very precise made, and contained a graphite "nail" in a sliding contact. I hesitated to spend them so lost in movements...

I'm after the small pots (not switches) that do the input/output gain, 10k logs with 4mm shaft diameter. I tried some Spectrol pots which fit, but the damn things keep falling apart and stop working. I don't know how Spectrol can sell them for $12 each, total crap. The original pots were Ohmite brand I think.

I got replacements for mine from Farnell, but the shaft is a little smaller so the knob now doesn't go on...

What was the part number from Farnell? Were they the square black ones, Spectrol? Thats the ones I have been having trouble with in terms of reliability. You can get other knobs with the correct shaft diameter to replace the original knobs from RS Components.
