Thread Starter | PCB for summer
The PCB offered at groupdiy for the summer based on the Folcrom is sold out. The cases are available..but that is it. Are there companies that will make a one-off board for an ok price? Otherwise..can I just use the breadboard stuff along with the schematic and put it in "box X?" If not, what other solutions are there that I am missing if I want to make an outboard summing box for cheap?

Hi A breadboard or even 'floating in space' version would work just as well, not as pretty perhaps. You could use 'tagstrips' or insulated turrets to hold tinned copper bus wires and hook the resistors between the switch contacts and the bus wires. Old valve amps built this way tend to be more reliable than on PCBs, although that is probably an issue of parts 'flexing'. Matt S |
