Noisy mains pot on Motu 828

Every time I touch the damn thing I get crackles and pops. I am not skilled in electronics, but in the past I have had luck using contact cleaner for noise issues on other gear. I tried it on the Motu, but it seems to have made the issue worse!
Any suggestions to help me avert damaging my monitors (and yes, buying a better converter is probably the best solution, but alas no cash)?

Do you think it is some kind of generic pot that I can replace with better parts, or would it be an assembly unique to Motu and therefore doomed to repeat it's failure?

Thanks

just remove the scratchy pot and measure it"s resistance and taper then Buy a replacement....i"m sure it is a standard value and taper and should be easilly fixable....
