Thread Starter | SMC 2B mod - madness?
Hello there, I'm a proud owner of a Tube-Tech SMC 2B. I'm very happy with it, there are, however, times when I don't use it. So, actually, three nice stereo compressors are lying around unused. Does anyone know of a mod that enables the thing to switch from multiband to single band operation? Additional connectors, transformers and switches come to my mind. I actually wanted to contact Tube-Tech about that but couldn't find a contact email address on their website, so I contacted the German distributor, which got kind of angry pointing out that this thing is a multiband compressor and should be used as one and "we should forget very quickly about that". However, he forgot to mention if it's possible at all or not .So. Opinions. Come on. Hit me .At least does anyone have a Tube-Tech contact? Cheers Claus

| Tube Tech / Contact E-mail address: info@tube-tech.com The distributor could definitely have been more friendly. You're right, why not... Or the other way round: What about combining multiple compressors into a multi-band? Good luck with your project. |
