Thread Starter | Polarity Beyerdynamic DT990 Pro Headphones
HI!! The plug on my Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro Headphones started crackling so i decided to replace it with a nice neutrik gold plated stereo jack. Now after i am done something is wrong. Leaving the pan pot in the middle gives me signal on the right, panning right gives me stereo etc. So it is obvious i ****ed up soldering.....Strange cause i put red on the tip, black on the ring and white on the sleeve. Does anyone know the right polarity scheme for beyerdynamic headphones, i do not seem to find it anywhere? What color goes on tip, sleeve and ring? Thanks! Marrone |

Contact Beyer Dynamic. They've been pretty responsive to past inquiries regarding technical issues such as custom cables, etc.
