NAB and CCIR tape emphasis/demphasis curves?

Anyone know where I can find the spec for these?

Thanks,

jb

The RIAA "phono" demphasis curves were pole at 3180 usec, zero @ 318usec, and pole at 75 usec.

NAB "tape" encode/decode is IIRC similar but a little simpler without the wiggle in the middle but varied with head gap, tape formulation, bias, etc. Don't know if it's as precisely defined as phono was and may vary from machine to machine.

RIAA is for Lp records, not tape. NAB and CCIR are tape EQ curves.

Google is your friend:

and
http://home.flash.net/%7Emrltapes/equaliz.html
among many others.

Here's a good site if you haven't seen it.

I was looking at it the other day for the same reason.
