Parts for FOSTEX A-8 R2R ?????

I still have my old Fostex A-8 R2R 1/4" 8 Channel deck. It needs a capstan motor. I'v been storing this guy for years and I thought I'd try one more time to fix it before it goes into the dumpster. Or...anybody need it for parts???

Hi,

I still have my A2 2 track I bought new. Can't use it for transfers (It has Dolby) because it needs a capstan belt. Did you ever find a belt source ? I found 1 outfit on the net that list them but they never return email requests and have no phone number listed.

Thanks,

Danny

Try contacting NJ Factory Service--TEAC, Tascam, Yamaha, Fostex authorized service . They see this vintage stuff all the time, and may be able to link you up with a supplier.

Best, Paul
