hi, i am in need of some help or info about a limpander le-3, it has odd five pin ins and outs, it was supplied with tranformers to connect to xlr. When i use i am getting an extreme amount of hum, it actually is -8 digital, so the output on this unit is currently nuts, its like a jet engine. are these transformers typical, does anyone have the in out pin#'s so i could bypass those transformers, i have heard these units are noisy but there is definitly something up. is the le-3 different? anyhow any info would be great ( a service manuel would be greater) and if you will trade me for your fairchild that would be the best, anyhow any info or help would be great, any mods? i shut up and let you do your thing now.. check out pics,,,,looks to have low low hours

Or, maybe have a really good ground loop going somehow. Without the schematic you're going to have to do a lot of measuring with a meter and scope to see what's up with the five pin to transformer to xlr thing.
good luck

Yo, another couple of questions: Have you checked for a clean and appropriate current power supply? Ripple free, that is? Did the unit ever work correctly?
Enquiring minds need to know.

Hello,
I have 2 Limpanders LE3, but needs a lot of restoration hours. Missing one output Triad A-53, also one input Triad A-9j is broken. I have schematics for LE3, but without values of parts :-( . I have several questions.
1-Model LE3 is has microphone input 50,200,600 ohm and 600 ohm output, but there seems not to be line input, how You connect Your LE3 to AD-DA or mixpult? Are You use rezistors pad for line input?
2- Did You mode fast attack, release limiter or use in original condition?
3- I think Limpander is good for speach but not shure what about Limpander automatic fast attack-release will be useful for instruments? Did You use for drums, guitar or synts?
I have also operating manual, dont You have some better schema with values? I can scan and send You Limpander operating manual.
