THe circuit was unchanged between these, however. Interesting that yours both have the bakelite 'old style' front panels and glossy knobs.. I have several of the newer variety, but with metal front panels and the later SSL style collet knobs...

Im so interrested in this filter/eq. want to clone it. Build precision fader aswell. Seen langevin faders that looks similar I think, but not really.. also a Maihak, old old fader..old and wise like Yoda.

old mixer

Console amateurs will know this one... Hint: eighties british

What I thought was a problem was the stupid Post-fade listen, which "needs" a DC signal to activate some relay that otherwise cuts the signal... I still don't understand. Maybe I'm misinformed...

It's a home made vacuum tube signal generator. Does it work?

Don't know, since they aren't wired up to anything (in the picture that shows the internals). The output is on the BNC jack.

It is a dummy load with cooling fans.

I've prepared it for today's crazy hybrid experiment, to dissipate up to 1 KW on 16 Ohm shortly while I measure and tweak the amp.

Speaking of dummy loads:

http://www.brianroth.com/library/dummy1.jpg

http://www.brianroth.com/library/dummy2.jpg

Eons ago (hmmm...the Dale has an 1981 date code, and I bought them new), I built up four of these. The heatsinks came from a local surplus store, and a machinist friend did the "carving" of the fins to allow the mounting legs to fit.

I had planned to mount the set of four into some sort of enclosure with fan cooling, but never got around to that part of the project.

Best,

Bri

It's been reincarnated as a dummy load enclosure due to termination of the SCSI chain since the advent of FireWire, I suppose?

Inside the orginal GT Model 1 (MD1)

I love the original Groove Tubes pre fender MD series mics. The ones with the 9pin sub & external power supply. I own the MD1 & 2. I replaced the tube with a JAN NOS 12at7 & snapped some shots.
