Switching the voltage on my BM6a's

I've just brought my BM6a's over from australia and need to switch the voltage from 230 to 115... I've looked at the back and it appears that I just have to switch out the fuse to a T3.15A and move the switch over... I've included a pic, and just want any tips or let me know if I'm doing the right thing or not. I dont want to blow these things up they cost me an arm and a leg

any help much appreciated

Hi,

I have the same monitors- and recently moved from Europe to NJ (But I'm an aussie as well).

Yes all you need to do is turn it to 115v and change the fuse.

To be honest, I haven't done the fuse yet- I have a voltage regulator and line conditioner here and given I went from 115v to 230v it is simply a matter of he fuse tripping quicker.
Going from 115v to 230v it is absolutely necessary to replace the fuse.

Still to be sure- replace the fuse.
Where in Aus are you from?

thanks octatonic - I'm gonna sound like a dumbass here but is the fuse located in that switch or do I have to pull the amp off the back of the monitor to get at it?

I'm from BC originally but spent the past 7 years on the sunshine coast in QLD - got dual citizenship now so I'm down with the meat pies and VBs ;-)

cheers

It's behind the IEC connector from memory- you shouldn't need to pull it apart.
