Exclamation Gas cooker vs. Universal Audio 2-610 and/or Crane Song Flamingo

Hey,
Help me out please!
I'm considering buying a new stereo preamp to use on an AEA R92 ribbon mic, to record bass, rhodes, and to connect a recordplayer to.

I'm thinking about a Crane song Flamingo. I heard it rocks!
But did anyone used a Ridge Farm Industries Gas Cooker before and is it better then the Universal Audio 2-610?

And when I buy a Crane Song Flamingo, is their then still the need to buy a gas cooker or UA 2-610 to record bass guitar or Fender Rhodes for the warm sound? Can the crane song do all the job?

So do I need to buy two good stereo preamps or is a crane song enuff?

Please let me know!
Thanks
grtz,
Jerboa

I have the Flamingo and use it routinely with R84 and R92 mics. It does rock. It's a good choice.

Thank you Lynn Fuston.
And what do you use te DI bass or Rhodes, also the Flamingo or would you go for the Gas Cooker or 610? It is offcourse another sound but comes the Flamingo close to it or even better?
Or anyone else's choise?

I wouldn't recommend the gas cooker for ribbon mics, not enough gain baby!
