Dear Steven,
I have listened to the test and I easily guessed that A and C were the SSL but I have to say that the VCC is very close even if the B and D files were a 0,4 db louder. Anyway I believe that adding a 0,6% of widening with a Brainwox Control v2 I had and even more close sound.

The thing I was missing in the emulation was mainly the energy of the transients.

Thank you very much for the opportunity and time you dedicate to that question.

The thing I particularly like is that you got that sound without adding a lot of distortion like the waves nls (that I own and use for that character).
