Maybe think about it as you would a compressor, filter - VCC - EQ.

Yes, tracking console. Like you record through one console onto multitrack tape. Then you take the tape elsewhere to mix on a different location on a different console. Pretty standard.

I have to say track 3 with VCC + VTM is much more potent in its body and presence.

IMHO Listening on some good AKG headphones, then on my Focal monitors, I heard an improvement on guitars (sharper, more focused) but was really surprised at the overall subtle difference. Based on this example I would say the unprocessed track was good enough to proceed to the next stage. Perhaps if you record the source well the less plugins you need?
