We had a boring friday night in the studio and made a little preamp test.
We used the following mic preamps:
1. Telefunken/Tab V76
2. USB Pre2
3. Universal Audio 4110
4. Line 8mp
5. Lachapell 583s
6. FiveFish X-72
7. FiveFish X-12
8. Calrec RQP 3200
9. Calrec PQ 1347
10. Amek 9098
We used a Vintage Telefunken CMV-3 microphone with M7 (pvc) capsule for both vocals and drums. We placed the mic in front of the drum kit pointing down towards the kick.
Everything went into a MOTU HD192.
