*Sound Clips* Mic comparison for rap vocals
 

This post is from my other thread, but since I guess it could be of interest even to those who wouldn't normally click the other, not as sexy, thread title, I thought I'd make a new thread with just the audio clips ;)

Mics are: U47, Ref C and Brauner VMA

Clip 01-03 are non-processed, same take, all through Neve 4081 and Mytek Converters (24bit-48kHz).

Clip 04 is a different take from the final signal chain. The mic is also moved to a vocal booth instead of the main room; compression made the room pop out to much.

I liked the Ref C better the U47 second and the VMA last.

i listened thru Event ASP8's with Apogee DAC.
