Allen & Heath GSR24 Drum & Bass

Hey All,

I've been wanting to get some sound files from the GSR24 up for a while. I finally found some time to do some tracking and get a quick little ditty up. Drummer/Bassist/Engineer Floyd Kellogg laid down the tracks. The only processing here is on the board:

GSR24 Mic-Pre -> GSR24 Converter -> PT -> GSR24 Converter -> GSR24 EQ -> GSR24 mixbus back into PT

We wanted to see how she'd handle Dynamics and Ribbons so we chose Fat Heads as the overheads and an AEA R92 as a Ribbon, Not my first choice, but worked out for the sake of this experiment.

Mics:
K1: MD421
K2: Senn MK4
S: SM57
T1: e604
T2: At25
OH: Cascade FatHead II
Mono: EV 635a
Room: AEA R92

I dig the drums, I still need to pic up one of those 635a. Just curious, what did you mic the bass with?

It was just direct bass into the Tube Channel with little saturation.
