Rode NT1 vs. Rode NT1-A! VOCAL TEST!

had some extra time at the studio so i did this quick test. my buddy has both the nt1 and the nt1-a so we decided to see (hear) what the difference is. i've seen some threads asking about which sounds better. both mics ran thru a vintech x73. then i did another test with them running thru a daking mic pre1. Excuse some of the pitch problems!! what do yall think? did the test as even as i could.

Not night and day difference on the mics but the NT1 seems smoother , which sounds nice on her voice .I prefer the Nt1 through the Daking . Daking is more detailed which sounds nice with the smoothness of the NT1 ..

I hear a clear difference and not just in the highs

Does anyone hear the difference in the sound of the room? I can hear something like a music stand ringing on the 1a. The cardiod pickup is different and less directional. The 1 presents the voice more isolated, warmer and more intimate.
