| Gear nut | Mixing ITB vs Alesis Masterlink Building my own studio from zero I have been mixing ITB for a while. Yesterday I got Alesis Masterlink and I tried to mix my old stuff using a digital connection between my audio interface and Masterlink. Wow, what a difference it made. The new mixes are much wider, transparent, having also more details, especially in upper frequences. Suddenly the plugin reverbs started to sound in the mix. There are less lows and low mids though. I always tried to cut some low mids from guitars and keyboards to clean up my mixes mixing ITB, with Masterlink I don't need to do that anymore. Or at least not so much. I will keep on trying different set ups and hope to post some sound samples soon.
