| Thanks, Joram, for taking the time to do this shootout. My preferences are: 1. U67 sounds incredibly smooth 2. Flea 47 great mid range bump but somewhat thinner than the U67 3. Swedien No. 1 Too bright for my taste It would be really interesting the hear the Flea against a real U47. If I don't recall incorrectly, didn't you have the opportunity to do such a shootout? It would be great if you could post a comparison between the two. Thanks once again for the shootout! /Chris |

| Lives for gear | Unfortunately we did not have to time to record a shootout between the Flea and the real thing with the same singer. We received our U47 on the last day of the workshop. However we did record quite a lot during the vocal workshop with James Lugo and I do have a comparison between a C12, U47 and U67. I will go through the recorded material again. Keep you updated. |

| The Swedien has bump around 6 kHz, about 5 dB, with respect to both other ones. The FLEA sounds smoother to me than the U67. |

| It was a close one for me - they're all good. The flea and the swedien both a forward push - the swedien seemed to be forward the most, the flea a close second. The swedien felt a little bit hyped up to me. The flea, I felt was a nice blend of forwardness but without sounding hyped - I think it would fair better in the mix than the others. so Flea 47 is #1 for me. I felt the u67 was the most natural sounding, and for a sparser mix, I might want that. So 67, would be #2. Swedien comes in 3 by default. But they all sound excellent.

| "NOI mann!" never fails... Just think its perfect compared to the rest. Swedien sounded hot, on the hyped bright side. (no thank you) May work well on Cymbals and overheads. Flea 47 seem to have a slight mid dip or scoop. Why can't they make Neumann's like they did in the old days. What a mic! Thanks for the post! Wanted to hear that Flea 47 for a while now. |

| Loved the Flea The flea left the impression of delicate softness in me. It may have just been the performances but, the other two seemed to have more wetness from the singers mouth. Not a fan of those sounds. |

| No, this was a reissue, not a clone.Neumann used NOS parts they had in their stocks to do a small run of them. Mike |
