I own a burl and an UA2192 and use them side by side a lot.

The burl is smoother with a more open top end, I Think heavy electric guitars sound great through the UA2192 because it's more agressive in the midrange.

Overall I prefer the Burl but honestly they are pretty close.

Protools HD192 is not very good in comparison, I compared a console mixdown through the burl/2192/Apogee psx-100/HD192 and I actually liked the psx100. I little blurry compared to the UA and Burl but still way better then protools.
