And would you be able to hear this very slight difference in a mix?

Well if the tracks are solo in the mix ( 1 vocal track etc.) probably not... now I wouldbe curious to see how each compressor seats on the track once stacked

cool at that price it sounds like a winner!! i might get a couple soon.
the question is dos the anamod do something so different then any other comp that you would absolutly want to use it instead of for example a 1176, la-2a etc...??

First of all, thanks to RoundBadge, for this great shootout with "real" superb tracks.

On Bass i like the "Bass B"
On Drums the "Drums C"
On Vocals the "Vocal A"

please tell me that i chosed the Anamod samples ! haha. Then i order one

..but the difference between the clips are a lot of money. Is it worth it ?

Greetings from Berlin, Mathias

great shootout there is a slight diffrence i can here not so dramatic as the other test but ill give the test a try and submit what i think is the fairchild and the anamod....i have to say that the anamod is a big success because its pretty close to emulating that. i cant see why i shouldnt pick one or two up these both sound amazing..regardless of which is which..so here it goes....bcgood would you mind posting what you think is the fairchild since you got it right the first time... would love to try agian..e.. and so here it goes...

Drums C - F670
Drums D- A660

Vocals E- F670
Vocals A- A660

Bass E - F670
Bass B- A660

now i have to wait and see but im thinking this test is much better than last... so fingers crossed each sample is just as good as the other.

I don't think the ballistics are so similar, for sure there are noticeable differences, especially on the bass clip. Anyhow, here are the ones I liked the most, I don't know if they are the real deal or not, I don't even care.. these I liked and would use.

Bass B
Drums C
Vocal E

Please tell me these are anamod!

Cheers!

I prefer vocal E, Bass E, and for the drums it's a dead heat for me.

Wicked bass sound man! Lovely...
FWIW I liked Voc A, Bass B and Drums C the most...

Love the way A,B and C are rounded off nicely...not as 'spikey' as the others...Also the 3D image is more pleasing on those 3... Whatever they are...

Best,
RR

Roundbadge.. Great bass sound..

I have to ask, level wise, what are you recording at going into pro tools for that bass sound.?? Whats your meters telling you is average and peaks?

Smooth, not harsh at all.

I liked D, B, and A the best. If those are the Anamod versions, I may have to look into getting one...

I honestly wouldn't be willing to do any conjecture between these files unless I had wave files to compare.

If RB has the time to send me them I'm going to post all the files as 16/44 waves in one zipped folder for download. Everyone is pretty busy this week with AES coming...

Damn...I wanted those to be the Anamod (B & C)...on vox it was a bit of a coin flip, but on drums & bass I really wished....oh well...against all odds...
