wow

Didn't like the pumpy kik on the the Drum C fairchild +1 anamod
Liked the pokey transients in Bass E - +2 anamod - something to stick out in a heavy mix

could go either way with vox - very cool shootout!

Anamod has more low end extension and, maybe this is a setting, less pumpy on the vocals.

Things sound rad. Damn

Bass B

What? Thats crazy, all the opposites to what i thought would be the real thing. My favorites were:
Vocals- A (bigger, more natural, wider, alive)
Drums- D (Had I think more bottom end)
Bass-E (Beefier)
Good God, I'm gettin the Anamod!

could be very interesting on a drum or 2-buss with those mid/side controls... reason enough to get the rack instead of the 500-modules IMO

Where? That most who might be interested in the AM660 would see it on such a short notice?

It's not like he's posting this in a thread that's not about the AM660, and it seems, from the posts here, everyone seems to appreciate the 'sale' and the notice of the sale.

And ironically, I have ad blockers that block banner ads on this (and other) forums anyway, so I'd never see it even if I was looking.

We paid for a banner ad which ran for a month on GS and have had numerous postings and emails about the sale.

Dave and everyone else, sorry, bad form on my behalf .. had a bad month and shouldn't have come into this thread with that attitude. plus, i'm just jealous that there's
no anamod in my racks!

i listened to the files in my studio and it sounded great. thanks to RB and Co for taking the time to record and post this stuff. i really appreciate it.

now, back to are regular scheduled program ..

On a blind listen I preferred the real one on all inst. Even through an iPhone speaker. They just had a little extra hair. Definitely not worth 10x the money...

If I get the Anamod how can I make up that extra 1% of character?

my advice, use you ears. When we compared real vs. anamod I always preferred the real one (when all we did was copy settings). When we tuned by ear, no one in the room could tell the difference. Good monitoring, S3As, etc., Duality console. Hope this helps.
