Beyer M160 vs....

Hi all,
I just got meself a Beyer M160 and been testing it out on a few instruments. Last week was drumset, this week is electric guitar time.

Here are the fine details:

Guitar: Hollywood something w/ P90
Amp: Fender Bassman '59 reissue
Preamp: D&R Triton, no EQ

Mics facing straight to the center of the cone, around 4 to 5" off the grill. Bassman on normal channel, volume @ 4. Clips were recorded at about -12dB and exported as MP3 @ 256 directly from Digital Performer.

Hi Lou,
thanks for taking the time to check the files out. The first one, the one with the P90s, is my favourite guitar right now. It has lots of character and a particular voice that I like very much. I made this samples to test the M160 out. I'm right now testing it on snare and like it a lot. It has a huge amount of body and with a gentle EQ up on top it shines. Will try and post some sample of it.
