The Gyraf seems to be great in every band, and so could be the best choice of all them, versatility of the MEA 2 (maybe not for cuts though ?) but with that extra sweet color to the sound.

But on all those test, the Massive Passive still have that MAGICAL MEDIUM (let say the high mid from 800 to 5000 approx) that the otherones couldn't reach...

Knowing this thread dates to 2007
DO you have a pic of your GML settings in test_sparkle_gml.wav
I would set and pass it thru my GML8200 EQ and post audio result.

Nice!

I wouldn't say the MP is harsh in the HF, however in comparison to the gyraf, it's a little more aggressive. I love the way both units sound for different applications. I need to get the G14 at my place, tho. Yuuummmy

P.S. Excellent samples and we all really appreciate you taking the time to do this!...... even tho i realize i'm uber late replying to this thread
