Are there any Control4 wizards around here?

My friend has a control4 home theater system that was disassembled. He wants me to reassemble it for him but as I am searching google for some solutions, I keep being told that I can't set up a system without help from a dealer.

I am not sure how it was configured before and there are many possible ways to set it back up, but to make sure the IR programs are working right etc. I would either need to reconfigure it or try to set it up exactly as it was which would be next to impossible without some kind of flow chart.

I am a highly skilled audio and computer engineer, can someone PLEASE kindly point me to the holy grail of Control4 installation information so I can go ahead and get this thing working for him? We have a Multi Receiver AVM-TUN1b and a Controller AVM-MC1b, a multi room amplifier which is pretty self explanatory so far, a Sony DVP-CX777ES 400 DVD changer, and a Pioneer VSX-9110TXV Receiver/Amplifier. AND NO MANUALS!

Any guidance will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I don't work with Control4, but do a lot of work with Crestron, a "similar" type of product. It should actually be pretty easy to decode the original IR routing. If you are sending receiver volume commands, for example, either use trial and error or use a voltmeter to read the control voltages from the appropriate port. There are companies that sell "flasher" IR emitters which would give you easy visual feedback on which port is firing.
