So the Gearslutz app has updated and I see the screen is better to type in but....

Why has Favorites disappeared into More? I use favorites most of the time to follow threads I am interested in.

At least changing the iPhone press to go to last unread doesn't crash the app. I actually feel like using it now. (though I haven't seen the pref being honored in the app behavior yet, at least it didn't crash outright when I changed the value in the prefs screen)

It has been like this for a couple of months now, the gearslutz ipad app has disappeared, and when I try to reinstall it, the app store will tell me it is already installed. Yet the app's icon is nowhere to be found.

I just did the update and when updating the icon shows, but upon completion it disappears again!

What gives?

Try turning your iPad off and on again... Worked for me with 'ghost' apps in the past.

Anyone else having problems, install the latest update. Fixes a lot of issues.

Not sure how... I checked to see if there was an update (not, alas) but my favorites is stuck in the "more" section.

It was cool before because it was at the bottom of the screen and would flag if someone had posted to one of my favorites.

That was why, until I upgraded both operating system and iphone, I used the application in preference to my pc's.

I am on an iPad 1 and updated to the latest version yesterday, hoping it would change things back to normal, but no dice. Like I said, when it updates the icon reappears and then - kazaam- it is gone.

Bumping this post... Is there any way I can move the favourites to the bottom of the screen rather than buried in the "more" section?

I don't need latest as a menu option, for instance

I like that the scrolling is better but moving the favourites really kills the application for me.

I think I am going hoarse or just appearing an ol' whiner but I wish the favorites option had not been stuffed in the more folder.

It ruins the whole application for me.

I don't want "new posts" and would love to stuff that in the more folder and pull favorites back into an icon at the bottom of the screen.

This can't be a hard thing to do but without it the application sucks in my humble opinion
