the second from left on top row looks fake to me. if you carefully look at the black lining, the color changes half way thru, looks photoshopped.

also checked out the video of guy who made the photoshop images. apparently if you gots the know-how, it's pretty easy.

should this be the actual design of the new iPod AV tho.... sign me up for one!

i do lotsa multimedia stuff, music over visuals; so it'd be great to show clients during meetings outside studios the schtuff without carrying/busting out the laptop!

I always think these things are leaked by Apple.

They've got a diabolical thing going. You never know which model will be discontinued forever when the new ones arrive, so the "leak" does double duty by getting people amped about the new stuff and it gets the people on the fence about buying current models into the stores.

And they don't let the older model continue to exist but with a price decrease which keeps people from waiting for the price drop.

Also, it's amazing that nobody's been able to make a good-sized dent in the iPod market.

Someone leaked pictures a few years ago of a PDA called iWork. Today we all know now that's a piece of software not a PDA.
There have been several rumors from last year of widesceen iPod with a virtual click wheel. But apple have purchased a large amout of 80GB drives from Toshiba (I think).
I know Apple was pissed at Toshiba for leaking the info.
I still think Apple will release an 80 GB iPod before going to a smaller GB widescreen iPod.
Apple loves to milk everything till the end. Look how long G4 Powerbooks stuck around.
The Video ipod screen is way too small for me to be even usefull. But then again I need glasses to read and now and I bitch about not being about to see a phonebook.
With Apple the second release of hardware always seems to be improved a lot of the inital product.
Microsoft is coming out with an iPod killer this month I have heard nothing yet about it.

That big ass screen is going to eat battery like no one's business. I bet if they made the battery meter a little bigger on the AV iPod you could actually see it going down.

that top row of images look real to me, the rest are fakes, that top row is really well done if they are fake...but i heard from a big mac guy about a week ago that they had gotten a patent on what you see there in the pics, so that only comfirms it to me...the first thing i thought about was the battery life as well, i guess as long as you make it so that screen doesnt stay on that long when just playing music, then why does it matter?

Good Point,
Unless they use an OLED screen.
