Finally got me into practicing ear training every day and it's fun.

The Peterson iStroboSoft Tuner is good. I found it via The AppShopper app.

Don't forget the Starbucks app!

A starbucks app?

Hopefully its an app that warns you when you're approaching the most pathetic excuse for coffee in the world. And then redirects you to somewhere else.

Just downloaded polytune from TC electronics. My god what a great little app. Like the pedal (but only €0.79) you can strum all strings and it shows you the tuning of all strings at the same time.

Ok, so there are TONS of apps id recommend for the iPhone, but I'll stick with music related ones here since this IS GearSlutz, after all

Petterson tuner
Polytune
ProTransport (control pro tools transport from behind the drums in my basement! Couldn't live without this.)
FiRe
VoiceJam
RTA
Amplitube (decent gtr tones for rehearsing to songs from iPod, and a four track. Takes me back to my high school days!)
Box.net (for uploading mixes to listen to on different stereos. No more burning cdr's or even syncing the iPod! Genius.)
Easybeats

TouchOSC!

The Lemur is endangered:

h e x l e r . n e t | TouchOSC

To be fair the Lemur has a physics model, higher speed multi-touch acquisition and better integration than TouchOSC, but not forever. JazzMutant recognized this and discontinued their groundbreaking product.

Either way, this is cool technology and you can roll the interface templates to your liking.

No it shows you sources for free wifi ... a little harder to find up here... maybe not so much down there.

Soundhound is probably my fav app that actually blows me away... have been wondering how it actually works (I did a test and know it isn't lyrics based)... will have to google it sometime.

As for my least favorite apps it's pretty much the ones that are basically the mobile version of websites I frequent including this very one... I find that most have limited functionality compared to the full website... so I have ended up just bookmarking the full websites. Unfortunately some sites force the mobile version on you if it detects that you are on a mobile device and you have no choice.

I find bpm very useful and such a cool GUI! Gearslutz is my most used app but it is awfully buggy... so many crashes!

Moog Filtatron, Bebot, Thumbjam.........

And I am T-Pain, really....... Sometimes my studio turns into an impromptu Karaoke bar, using this cheap ass autotune with an i-Jam or Peavy mic/signal splitter while doing karaoke is way too much fun. Everyone feels like they have a good voice now.

The only problem is that I forget to put my iphone in airplane mode sometimes. It's hilarious......
