Question Android apps for the studio

What studio-related apps for Android smart phones have people found useful, or not?

as far as i'm aware there's not much in the way of android apps yet. most of them tend to be chord charts and the like that are aimed more at musicians.

the best ones for that i've come across are chordbot and uloops.

I like Gmote too.

Try ethereal dialpad-- fun and you might even use it in a song.

Gstrings tuner

Mobile Metronome is pretty awesome and versatile... and solid.

napster, pandora, shazam

Edit: I take that back, Gmote sucks. Just tried Android VNC with the ultra vnc server-- amazing.

try out uloops, an amazing new DAW for android!

Also, I got a cool little metronome that works on vibrations! it's super useful in the studio because I can use it while tracking vocals and the click doesn't bleed into the recording. just stick your phone inbetween your legs or in your phirt pocket, it's awesome! I forget what it's called but just search the market for 'vibrating metronome' and it should come up

There is an app called "Solo" its a guitar that you can program chords into as well as has a full chord library, completely customizable. It also has some lame audio recording feature that it could do without.

Its really good for working on songs and writing. quick easy way to strum through a progression and make decisions.

There is a great one.
TouchDAW!!!
I just bough it but haven`t configured it yet.
It works as a midi controller. So you can move tracks, FX, volumes, panpots, transport...
So, amongs other uses, you can go to your tracking room and control over wi-fi your DAW if you have a home studio like me and you record, play and mix yourself.
What amazes me is that you even can choose your DAW and the software has customized code so it can archieve a lot of funtionality with the DAW.

The upcoming Reaper 4.0 has web-based control capabilities... so you'll be able to remotely control it from the drum room on your phone - with NO special app loaded, just a browser! Though, I bet someone puts it out as a super-pretty slick standalone app.

Agreed. Their audio latency is still too high to have any serious type of music apps.

Tested Touch DAW over the weekend. I'm impressed and will be buying the full version.

I'm using a Desire with 2.2 and had no real latency.
