Studio Electronics ATC X or Moog Little Phatty?

Anyone ever compare the Moog the Little Phatty with Studio Electronics ATC X?

ive never tried the little fatty but i love SE. You will not be dissapointed for sure. Ive used the atc and the se1 and love them both. Even though ive never tried the little fatty, I still recommend the ATC. I decided to go with the SE1X over the Voyager myself. I liked the voyager a lot but found something about the SE1X to be what I wanted. The atc is also amazing.

the phatty is amazing ive got one and a voyager and ive tried against se 1 and whilst the se 1 sounds good its not the same as the new moogs. theres just something about the phatty and voyager.id even say the phatty has the edge in dirtiness over the voyager helped by the the overload control. in fact i cant recommend the phatty enough. one of the other things i love about it is the simplicity of the interface which is surprsingly quick to get around. there is no way in this world that you could regret buying one. trust me!

Hi all,
I am also considering an ATC X.
I was tryng to listen to the sound samples on the Studio Electronics website, but I am not able to switch the music of the main menu off, and solo the atc samples.
Any workaround?
thanks

Best regards
Massimo

I can recommend ATC-X for more variety of sounds, at least with extra filters. Also it's worth to mention that ATC is very easy to program even it looks a bit "lame". Phatty looks killer and sounds very tempting but for the money I'd get ATC.

Funny, I've been making this same comparison. I've read that the ATC-Xi offers a sine wave generator on the first VCO and sports a true VCA. I wonder if this gives it the final edge? The look and feel of the Phatty is sweet though.

I played the LP today and I have a ATCX. So this comparison is not a true AB test. I wish I could play them side by side. The LP is nice and can get really mean as well as sweet and poppy. Somehow I think the ATCX is more versatile. It is the one I would choose and did because I like it's sound more. I should note, I'm not a big fan of Moog. Cool and awesome synths, but I like something different. The ATCX gives me that and sounds 'fun' to me. I love playing it. It might not be 'as' punchy but it has great bass and leads on it. It's a tough call and I wouldn't want to make it, it's that tough. It comes down to you personally and you connecting with one of these synths. The one you feel most excited about, think you would like to play and edit. I like Editing the ATCX, I like having the one dial, it's a nice knob!

Played the Little Phatty today at my local Guitar Satan, so there were other customers putting on some sort of boogie woogie piano demo next to me, but it sounded good. The control layout is very simple and comprehnesive. It felt limited in what it could do compared the the Dave Smith Evolver Keyboard (forget the model name for the mono version) that was right below it, but it also felt more to the point and definatly had BASS as its main objective...
