Thread Starter | Synths used on Thriller, etc?
Hi, I've seen the "Archived Guest Moderator" forum where Bruce Swedien was giving some fascinating answers to people's questions about MJ albums - such as the bass used on P.Y.T. being a Mini Moog - but does anyone know what other synths were used? Are they easy to spot? I've heard that a Roland Jupiter 8 was used on Thriller - was it this that was used for the brass sound on the intro? Whilst I'm not lucky enough to own a Jupiter 8 I do have a Roland VariOS which does a pretty impressive emulation of one. Thanks for any help you can offer. Dave |

I think the Synclavier was used a fair bit...

Interesting topic and have not seen it discussed before. I'd be interested to.
