Have you tried to restart the editor?
Does it work then?
And can you edit the patches with the editor without any problem before it crashes?

Does the G2 have %100 support for new computer OS? The latest software seems pretty old.

Version 1.60
"(for one single unit Nord Modular G2 operation): Windows 98SE/2000/XP, Intel Pentium II 500 Mhz, 128 MB RAM or more. OSX 10.2, Mac G3 400 MHz, 128 MB RAM. USB 1.1, 800x600 screen resolution, 16-bit screen colors."

I never seem to have this problem. Have you installed the expansion boarD? maybe something is wrong with that?

I'd try electro-music, they've got very knowledgable people there on the G2.

For the record, I have no problems with 1.62 OS on G2, and the editor on OSX:-)

Ok, the editor crashed once.

I sometimes had crashes on my editor, especially when having it controlled by MIDI (when I used it slaved to my Yamaha RX5, I noticed lots of crashes...).
But most of the times it runs smoothly, but I never tried to put a whole bank of patches in it...

You should check electro-music.com, that's the best resource about the G2 there is available.
Maybe if you search there you can find the answers you're looking for.

And also you can find some amazing patches that'll wow you on what this machine can create.

This is one of the few synths I've downloaded patches and really have dropped my draw. Usually i go "O_o, ok great" to most user uploaded patches, but not this time:D

i have been making some patches that blew me away, i am not even a very good sound deigner, i think its a keeper, i like the way it works really well,

i put in hundreds of dx7 converted sound, the richard devine set, and i was trying to put in the factory default one, there are 4000 places for presets, so i wanted some patches to work with, see how they worked, and learn, maybe change them up to suit my needs, but its very annoying,,,

from what i can tell its supported, everything else works, just not uploading full banks, its a normal thing to do i think, i am thinking about going to 1.40, i hear thats the most stable.
