Getting a cv/gate cable made. Should the wire have certain specifications?

I'm getting the cable made by a company who dont specialize in modular patch cables, and I'm new to modular stuff.
Should I request a certain wire to be used to carry the correct voltage?

Nice one

(ps - I'm getting it made cause I cant find stereo 6.35mm jack to 2x mono 3.5mm jacks cable anywhere.)

Cool.
And if I have a 3.5mm stereo jack - 2x rca cable, and stuck some adapters on it to fit my gear (3.5mm - 6.35mm stereo, and rca - 3.5mm mono's) would it transmit cv/gate ok?

Thanks.
