Why is MFB SynthII's CV/Gate input 6.5mm stereo when Urzwerg outputs are 3.5mm?

Why is MFB SynthII's CV/Gate input 6.5mm stereo when Urzwerg outputs are 3.5mm?

Unless I'm missing something there's no such thing as a stereo 6.5mm jack to double 3.5mm mono jacks, so the cable has to be custom made.

Why did they do this?
