How to get this sound using Ableton?

https://soundcloud.com/amtrac/milwau...e-amtrac-remix

First 0:02 seconds the synth comes in and around 1:02 he uses it differently throughout the song and in the background.

I've been trying to get a sound like this using Ableton and Massive but I'm not having any luck, anyone got any ideas? What other VST's or actual synths can I use to get these kind of sounds?

I'd start with Analog + ping-pong delay. Need to fuss with the ADSR envelope on both the amplitude and filter.

You should be able to do this with Massive.

Massive's default wavetable is pretty suitable for this; the sound is a mix between saw and square. Filter cutoff nearly all the way down, resonance at 20% or so; probably want the Daft filter for this. Synced delay.

Use a relatively short attack in the filter envelope initially - what happens with the sound here is that the attack is modulated throughout the track.

I tried what you said and I get more of a flute sounding synth.

I think you need to modulate the filter cutoff.

Taking Ark's advice, I had some time, and tried to figure it out in Analog.

Here's the instrument rack preset I did:

Not exactly it, as Yoozer said, the Attack seems modulated, the filter is either keytracked, or has a little bit of an LFO attached to it. IDK, I stopped when I got bored, LOL. But anyway, hope it gets the general idea across.

Well, put the WT knob more towards "saw" then.

I can't seem to get it, mind saving the preset so we're on the same page?
