Not to worry, doesn't look like people can even buy them if they wanted.

I don't buy that they are "SOLD OUT" within a day or so, something is up. Anyone know what the story is?

Roland finally realizes that there is a market for 303s and starts making them again?

One can dream, right?

how would you know? ffs...

DH - looks like it's available to buy on the Syntaur site in the US.

http://www.syntaur.com/TT303.html

(EDIT: i guess not... "Please allow approximately 10 days before shipping of this brand NEW product.")

never dealt with them though, you might want to drop them an email first to see what's up.

Syntaur is where I got a replacement bender for my Juno-1. I didn't know they sold anything other than replacement parts.

they're well known for their Ensoniq parts, etc... odd that they ended up as a distributor for this, afaik it's the first actual "product" they've ever sold (??).

It's made by technology transplant, the same guys that make the repro synth parts (and those poor quality x0xb0x's). Syntaur bought most of their stock a while back so they have a relationship.

If this thing were dead on in sound/tone, would anyone admit it or would we all still be saying it doesn't sound as good as a real 303?

Not being cheeky, I honestly wonder.

well, i imagine that they would still be saying that it doesn't sound as good as a real 303.

i'm assuming that if Robin Whittle is saying good things about it that it's pretty decent. then again, AlexP says it's crap, so of course it must be crap.

Only if money is involved owing to his devilfish mods then yes he will say good things about it. It's the perfect vehicle for his devilfish mods.

You should buy it comes with with preset patterns via a function called InstaDJ, i'm sure that would make Audioconsult very happy.

21st century Preset 303's for the preset generation, it's mc-303 all over again and then some! There's also talk of a TT-606 as well soon.

This is nothing but a counterfeit 303 tbh. Wonder how Robin would feel if someone started cloning his devilfish mods and then started selling them.

All of Roland's products are copyrighted and the design and looks of their products are trademarked by "trade dress"

Well I seem to remember some X0xb0x mods trying to replicate the Devilfish sound and functions. I cant see the difference between this and ppl selling different x0xb0x mods/stickers with Roland designs and whatnot trying to make its case look like a real 303.

Hi Guys

I picked up a TT 303 today from superior sounds london, on way home from work (how fast was I driving! ;-)

All i can say is WOW! - this is like a brand new TB303.

Sound wise it's brilliant - it can scream like the original and go
deeper for a real thumping bass.

The saw and square wave are spot on - it also puts my x0xb0x in it's
place lol.
How do I know, well... I compared it to my TB303 ;-)

Luv the packaging too.

Thanks for a great service superior sounds. I'm off to have some beers and a
TT303 session :-D

It seems to sound very similar, if not exactly the same. NULL TEST! My 303 is so creaky now that I might have to jump on one of these when I've finished my current Moog stockpiling quest. I can see these selling fast and then disappearing fast due to legal trouble.

I only wish that they had spaced out the filter and resonance and env knobs a bit more because the original 303 is a bit cramped. Made for small fingers and was never meant to be tweaked realtime, I guess.

TT303: Just being with you and TR-909 feel like I've come home. It's like I'm back in the fleet.
Tr-808: But you were never in the fleet. That was another Tb-303.
TT303: I know. I know that. But I remember all of it. Like getting my knobs. My first trip aboard the Groovelactica. You know the memory of being in a rack is so strong, so potent, its like, "I'm TB-303 and this is my family." Pretty weird huh?

Those youtube demos assure me that I am not the worst 303 programmer in the universe. As the for sound, dry 303 and nothing else is hard to listen to :(

If I didnt have 2 x0xb0x's already, I would have jumped at the TT-303 though.

My Recordings/Credits

What really baffles me is the claims "it sounds better than the XoXbox".

I mean, a well built xoxbox is 90% there (and I am being generous here, in many settings it is indistinguishable). So from watching some youtube clips, this claim is being made?? Seriously? (aside from the bloke who just bought it on his way home from work, registered at gearslutz to tell us, and then went to have a beer for authenticy's sake)

Does it sound "better" because it looks nice? is it because it is new?

As for TT: I bought one of their PSUs once and it comes with an US plug although it is 220V, and it hums more than my Xpander and H3000 together.
