m-audio bx5 d2 reviews?

i found a great deal on a pair of new m-audio bx5 d2 monitors and the only opinions i trust are from you slutz, not the critics that get paid to write good reviews. so what do you guys think of the bx5s?

Listen to them, and if they are ok, buy them!

I shave spent a lot of weeks reading and stuff, but take a look at your budget, and get something that seems oke for you. (best tip i found). I have bought Samson Resolv a5's they're fine! In that budget it doesn't matter alot. Better fix your acoustic treatment.

i cant listen to them in person :( its an internet deal.. the local guitar center (the only instrument shop here) only stocks 3 synths (korg microstation, juno di, jupiter) and 2 diff. krk rokit models. i live in a country/metal area.

I bought some many years ago and sent them back immediately.

The best small, reasonably low budget monitors I've heard are Tannoy Reveal 601A's. I've also heard very good things about JBL LSR2325Ps as well, although I've not listened them personally.

m-audio are not renown for making great monitors. monitors are really not something you want to skimp on; if you don't have the money to invest in something decent (including room treatment), it can make more sense to just invest in good headphones.

I had some rokits as well. They were also rubbish.

I have no idea what model the BX5s were, I literally had them for 20 minutes before I realised what a horrible mistake i'd made.

Get some samsons or tannoys i've heard de 5-something wich seems also good to me. But research room treatment. Way more impact on your mixing.
