So i am embarking on the journey of learning higher end recording and composing, there are however some questions i have towards a list of sounds i am trying to make.
I have looked up a bunch of different things in order to accomplish these but i seem to come up empty handed, so ive compiled a check list as far as everything i need to learn.
All help its greatly appreciated, if you have anything nonconstructive or negative to say please dont bother commenting.
WEIRD WARPING SYNTH STUFF

Reminds me of pink floyd, i have no idea what its called or how to do it but i would really like to know! |
Hi there & welcome!
I don't know what gear you have so you'll need to apply these on your synths/programs the best way you can.
This sound needs 2 LFOs & 1 filter. Both LFOs are controlling filter frequency.First one uses a sine wave & a low rate(frequency). The other is fast(around 8Hz & more) while going through several of the LFO's waveforms.Experiment with pulse(s), sawtooth(or ramp) & you'll get there. If you cannot assign 2 LFOs to filter then simulate the slow-running one by manually controlling the filter to sweep its frequency.Ping-pong delays are also your best friends with these sounds...

Sounds like baisic dj stuff. I can do this pretty easily in guitar pro but as far as a real DAW do i just download a dj program? |
That or a DJ.There are a lot of plugins out there(or apps on smartphones)that can do this but can't comment on any as i've never used one.Can easily be a sample too so search that area as well.

It sounds like sporadic drums meets a dial up modem, i have read that alot of this involves random panning and the right samples but i still dont know how to get that heavy computer sound effect and how you would control it. |
Again, there are a lot of plugins that can assist you here.Just google "glitch VST plugins" & you'll get a lot of options like the free Supatrigga or the commercial Stutter Edit.A dozen others as well.
The other way is to start editing.Armed with patience & experience you can make your audio stutter in controllable ways instead of the often chaotic ones provided by plugins.Of course you can always hit record, let the plugin do its thing, then assemble the best bits & edit them together.Or re-stutter them.Using ring modulators, bit-crushers & distortion here & there can help make things morph more.
The "modem" sound you described is nothing more but a hit(snare, hihat, you name it)getting re-triggered in fast rates. If you take a sample that sort & repeat it in a grid of heavily packed 32nds or 64ths(note subdivisions) this is what you get!The song here uses 2 different drum loops as well which, along with the pan settings, makes things even more interesting...

I am REALLY trying to figure out what this sound is and how to make it, ive had all types of ideas in my head regarding this and im sure there is a ton of different ways to manipulate something like this. Again, i have no idea what its called or how to accomplish it. |
Can't help you with this one. Some sounds just turn a certain way by accident so it could be anything. If anyone can shed light i'm interested as well!

If you find your soft-synths complicated for this go for a 2-oscillator, one filter, 2 envelopes monosynth without too much hustle on modulation possibilities.A one-oscillator synth with PWM will do the trick too.

I hope i didn't exhaust you here.See if any of the above start making any sense & have fun!
