Stargate production on Rihanna's songs

I was never into EDM so I dont know much but I love what Stargate production team did for Rihanna (Roc me out, Only girl in the world and so on...)
I was wondering does anyone have info about production setup, what synths were used on those two records (Roc me out and only girl in the world).
Any ideas?

I'm asking like its survey for myself just to see what is used for this type of music as i have little technical experience in this genre and Im looking to get on right track for upcoming shopping list for my production studio.

they uze pro toolz HD 10 XXXL starGATE edition, that is a special pro tools version created exclusively for stargate team.

they also use Xpand4, motif XZ, FANTOM B... and other hardware.

most important is stargate work is interly in da boX.

but they have synths and samplers of course

roland jv 1010 synth...motif rack synth..

emu PRO-TE-US synth 2000..

digidesign midi interphase

akai S3000 XL sampler.

What if I put all my rack synths into a cardboard box. Would that be ITB?

They had a interview on Sound On Sound explaining all the production and mix details on a Rihanna-track.

Whats wrong with having a good refence for modern dance/synthpop genre, and wanting to know what tools they used to achive sound thats specific and recognizable for this genre. As person with limited experience with synths and synth based music (I'm only familiar with old school analog classics and some romplers like motif, roland jv series, korgs, etc) I know little about todays go-to production setup's for this genre, Im person who always wants to offer best selection of hardware and software for my clients so this is reason why I asked because I need modern day "classic" synths as vintage listed above (those that whole GS drolls over) don't look appealing to younger generations of producers and imo thats understandable because theres no midi, no presets and so on....

For some reason I think Virus TI and few VSTs like Omnisphere and sylenth1 would cover all needs for producers/songwritters/djs who are doing urban dance/pop music?
