Jupiter 6 patch loading issue

I have a Jupiter 6 I'm trying to load the factory patches. I have a wav file both 22 and 44 khz. It looks like the load goes well but the patches are mostly garbage. The JP6 holds patches and I can manually make a patch, store it and it is maintained in memory.

Now, I have heard that the signal from the PC is too low to load the patches. Some have said they use a mixer, increase the gain and voila the patches load.
My question are these.
Has anyone successfully loaded factory patches just using a stock PC?
Or have you had to boost the signal, ie using a mixer, etc.
If you have successfully loaded the patches, where did you get you wav file from?

I'm going to try boosting the signal and see if it works.
I'd really like to get some responses and fixes for this issue.
Thanks to All in advance

I'd test but I have a Eruopa enabled JP6 and I like the patches that are already on there. Is it possible to do a sysex dump to the original JP6? On some old synths if you send a dump it'll just work - that is if you can find a sysex file of the patches.

Another important question is if anyone know whether the factory patches are worth the effort? Inevitably you'll probably get a bank of junk sfx like helicopters, motorcycles, machine guns, etc.

I believe there is a sysex file available. I suppose I can try it. But I'm still wondering if anyone has successfully loaded the wav file. Someone here must have a story whether they have or haven't been able to load the patches using the wav file.

No, the original JP-6 does not support sysex. You must have Europa to do sysex patch dumps. I would highly recommend anyone with a JP-6 get the upgrade...

Well I got the patches to load. I can confirm that the signal should be Hot. It needs to be at least line level. I used my Scope and the signal from my PC was skewed as well. Square wave edges were rolled off.
So jacking up the signal is the only way I got the factory patches to load.

BTW, does anyone have the names of the Factory patches?
