Wow that must be the worst controller I've ever seen in terms of ergonomics. You could do the exact same thing exerting way less physical energy, unless the whole point is to get a good workout

yep. I couldn't find a good video, but you can easily get sounds like that from a Kaossilator Pro.

I think it's just a Midi controller, the sound is being generated by something else.

Its more ergonomic. Its just not something a manufacturer could sell. There is no compromise. Its a full size instrument that connects himself directly to the music.

It isn't ergonomic. "Ergonomic" means that it is designed to be as efficient as possible and require the least amount of physical effort and fatigue to operate. This thing is definitely not ergonomic, it looks like a weird gym machine.
I'm sure he enjoys playing it and connecting with his music through it though, which is what I assume you meant.

Looks a bit prosumer.

Might as well just mic up your car.

... but it's ART, man... like a total statement about... society and the modern... something.... man...

Yeah I'd say it's a gimmick to try and grab some attention.

I do kinda like the look of it, it looks nicely machined/engineered but he could've done more - in the video there's just the 3 parts, not much as an 'instument' though.
