sequential circuits pro one price?

so i was at this tiny guitar shop with a singer/song writer studio in the back modding my monotron (the owner let me use his tools) when he says "hey, you know what this is?" and breaks out the most beautiful sci pro one ive seen. i asked him if he'd sell it and he said maybe.. so id like to know what a good price is so i dont go in there and insult him with a lowball offer lol.

Pro One's were going for crazy prices recently, i've seen ebay auctions go for over $1500 to even 2k. Lately they've been more in the 1200-1500 range (maybe its the Minibrute effect lol). That is of course for a J-Wire/non-board mounted power supply version. If it's early model with the power supply mounted to the main board or a later model with the membrane keyboard, those go for quite a bit less..

He obviously doesn't know what one is. Offer him a $100.

Why not ask him how much he wants for it?

I paid $1200 for mine a few months back but spent another $300 getting keys fixed, tune/scale, etc.

Ya, just ask, and give him what he wants. You never know, he may ask for very little. I had a Synthwood Pro-One that i sold a bit ago for $1300 i believe. Though honestly, i don't believe a stock Pro-One is worth anymore than like $600 in great condition. Especially with all these newer monos coming out.
