Alright, hey guys! im new to this forum.. having a hard time getting my setup the way i want it.. me and my girlfriend are creating a act which includes mainly beatbox and juggling.. also some guitar, didgeridoo, art and synth sounds hopefully.. So far we've got a RC-300, 2 kaosspads for the livelooping.. a JBLeon210 P we just ordered.. but we're looking now for a synth.. I saw the microkorg, but didnt appeal to me as much as the Novation ultranova, are there any nice other options for live performances?..Id like to create some nice basslines, and harmonies with it.. it has to be quite compact to take it on the road for street performing aswell. mostly going to be used for jungle dnb and ambient things.
If you want an inexpensive little keyboard with sampling maybe have a look at the korg microsampler. I've never used one so I can't really comment on it, but it's worth checking out.
Here's a demo I found of some guy using it for beatboxing.
Good luck with your project, sounds cool.
EDIT: I just realized you're not looking for a sampling keyboard, but just a synth.. In that case maybe have a look at that new novation mininova (similar to ultranova with less features and 200$ less). There's also the alesis micron which is worth a look (not sure if they still make them, but you can always find them used).
