The Emax Yahoo group has a lot of stuff. If it's not an Emax you should still be able to find it in some E-mu Yahoo group with a search.

How old?
I recently got an Emu Orbit (1996) & spent some time looking for support / patches - only was able to find the manual. The Emu site acknowledged that they once made Orbits, and that was it, so don't expect any support there. The Yahoo Orbit site was abandoned in 2006 after being overwhelmed by spam. Good luck, but don't hold your breath.

The software for that is definitely available. the tough part is getting it on a floppy the right way so that you can load it. If you can't do it let me know. I can point you in the right direction.

It could be crazy but I'm gonna add a compact flash card instead of the floppy.

In this case, what would u recommend? (I never installed an eos setup before)

Thanks again

I have several EMU EOS available (I think I probably have all of them)

Please let me know which one you do need.

"which is advisable" depends on which hardware you use (Ultras have different OS than traditional EMUs)

Hi and thanks but unfortunately I did not buy that e64 so probably in the future I'm gonna buy a version with an os in a good working condition and probably updated.

And believe me guys, I have an E-Synth rack version 128mb, it sounds like an expensive tape machine.

absolutely go for the ULTRA version.

That will allow you to install the 4.7 OS which reads and writes fat32 drives.

That makes exchange of samples with a computer and other synths a BREEZE.

All other EMU EOSs are bitches under that profile.

The machines sound great anyway, but being able to store sample libraries (and backups) on a computer and carrying around just a small embedded hard disk is reassuring, and only EOS 4.7 (which runs only on Ultras) allows you that
