Basic Synthesis question.

I have a Slim Phatty.
Why does this sound different:

osc 1: saw wave
osc 2: saw wave one octave lower

vs

osc 1: saw wave one octave lower
osc 2: saw wave

Shouldn't they sound exactly the same? I'm confused.

lol nvm I'm an idiot.
Only the initial attack sounds a bit different because it's starting on the opposite side of the wave right?
After a second it sounds the same.
Someone close this.... unless I'm missing something?

if you dont have hard sync for the osc then what you hear is the waveforms at different points in their cycle.
