that baseline is off the chain... how the hell do you make something like that?
would that be a 16 step sequencer?
You can try it with just one 16 step sequencer, but to truly get your basses off the chain, you'll need to detune at least 2 16 step sequencers and than what? is up to you!
With only one you can get bWah, but what you really want is bOouubwhbWAAaaHAahahahahalol
You could probably get by just detuning 2 copies of garage band, but since it's digital you'll be using the datune button (it's like detuning but for data )
Uh, both came out this year. You own a timemachine?
Nahh it just sounded very similar. Made me use 30 minz going through my record collection but i didnt find it :( Well that's 30 minz im not gonna get back...oh well.
I've noticed the terje ep has been getting good props. personally i find it very generic and little dull to say the least.
Its not exactly pushing boundries.
In 1967 it was "The Ballad of Billy Joe" and " San Franciscan Nights" by The Animals. This is the magic of pop. (yeah tell me it isn't pop). But what continues to amaze me is the never ending inventiveness of it all. a few notes and always something completely new emerges.
wow, are you kidding? see that to me, seems like boring washed up pop garbage something like junior boys is straight up high art done within a pop context. but to each their own
but again, this is a post about "top songs", which is kind of a joke to most electronic producers, since nothing that's really cutting edge or artsy ever is mainstream.
that song isn't really recent, and besides the abrasive vocals, it is pretty boring IMO. The top songs depend on what style of dance music you are talking about. If you are interested in the more pop side of things check out ministry radio for some current mixes.

Calling the junior boys "high art" is a joke right?
Azealia Banks lol. I thought the guy was gonna post some obscure techno 12" that sold like 5 copies or something.
While we're at it, let's post some Pussycat Dolls and Black Eyed Peas too. Though, I dunno what this mainstream radio pop has got to do what's being played at the clubs at the moment.
Thanks for posting these guys. I usually dont like much posted on here but I really loved this. It's like minimal deep house. So stark, so nice.

I just got the Ragysh EP today. I'm loving it. The 3rd song is a bit meh for me . . . but the first two are really great. It's definitely not pushing boundaries at all, but it just has a nice sound I think.
Neither of these artists could I listen to day in and day out though . . . just when I'm feeling it.
The new Todd Terje EP is a little bit meh though . . . check out the other one I mentioned.
Storm Queen's Morgan Geist has released some of his own stuff and was half of Metro Area who were just awesome. If you think he's Sh!t or boring you are hard to please.
It Goes On is such a cool track. Stripped back, great bass line as the hook and the chorus is absolutely huge in a club.
