I don't know about monotron but below is a monotribe PCB pic.
Just for comparison... on the left side in red border is famous 32-bit PCI to Ultra-SCSI adapter Adaptec AHA-2930CU.

Hold up, wait a minute. Are you telling me that I can take all of my spare pc parts I don't use anymore when I upgraded my first desktop and the parts extra parts from when I built a 2nd desktop into analog and virtual analog synths!!! Dammit I bought an Access Virus KB for nothing when I already had one sitting around my bedroom. Now I just gotta figure out in what order to assemble them in. Good thing I always grabbed a screwdriver and took apart my transformers, then put them back together.

We have to *really* zoom in to see more similarities.

Both PCBs are multi-layered with the same density and thickness of traces, probably traced by the same software and manufactured by the same technology and from the same materials.
Those tiny thingamajigs around ICs on both are actually SMD capacitors, etc...

No, the monotribe don't have SCSI expansion board, and you can't use AHA-2930CU either.

WTF?

Looks like a circuit sans PCB. I've never seen a resistor soldered directly
to a cable before. Huh, guess it makes sense, just never seen it.

That looks like the sh*t I used to do when I was 12 and 13 when I was trying to make my own circuits with stuff from Radio Shack.

Never listen to opinions regarding gear. For every 50 nobodies on Gearslutz that say a piece of gear doesn't sound good enough to cut it, I know at least one somebody who is cutting it in NYC with that piece of gear.
